IFLA attended the 58th Session of the United Nations Commission on Social Development in New York on 10-19 February 2020, which focused on homelessness.

Genilson Geraldo, Brazil, attended the meeting representing IFLA, highlighting the potential of libraries both to provide a safe place for people experiencing homelessness, as well as to provide the tools and spaces necessary to help reintegration into the economy and society.
