BSLA: Workshop in Spain reaches 12 associations from across the country

FESABID, the umbrella organisation for library associations in Spain, organised a Building Strong Library Associations workshop in October 2012 for 12 associations from across Spain. The workshop was delivered by Felipe Martinez (Mexico), Governing Board member and BSLA core trainer for the country project in Peru.

The workshop was held concurrently with the Spanish book fair, and the Annual LIBER conference. Participants were introduced to advocacy for eBooks in libraries across Europe, through the EBLIDA task force on eBooks which provided a concrete example of the importance of associations in advocating for access for all library users.

More information about the Building Strong Library Associations programme is available on the IFLA website.
