Folding shelves - The Economist publishes article on Elending

In late March, The Economist published an article on the Elending and Public Libraries.

Stuart Hamilton, Director of Policy and Advocacy, as well as members of the IFLA Network, such as Governing Board member Paul Whitney, were interviewed for the piece. It highlights the difficultlies and discrepencies faced by libraries when it comes to acquiring Ebooks. It stresses the importance the availability of Ebooks has for libraries in order to ensure their survival in the present day.

The article was based on the IFLA CILIP workshop which took place in February in London, as well as on the Ebook expert meeting hosted by IFLA in November 2012.
