Preservation and Conservation Survey

IFLA’s Key Initiative 3.2 states that we will work on Developing standards for the collection and preservation of content in its diverse forms.  In order to achieve this, a small committee of IFLA experts (from IFLA Professional Units, IFLA Core Activities and the wider network) has created a survey to collect standards, guidelines and best practices used by institutions for the preservation and conservation of materials—in any format—held in their collection.

TAKE THE SURVEY

The survey should take no more than 30 minutes to complete and will be available until 17 October 2016.

The results of the survey will be made available in form of a resource page of standards/guidelines/best practices for the profession on the IFLA website. Further to this, the Governing Board Advisory Group will analyse the responses and identify gaps. We will then investigate the best possible way to fill these gaps with the IFLA Professional Units, our members and wider network.
