A Highly Successful Mid-term in Malmo

Great speakers, inspiring libraries and stimulating discussions ensured that participants in the Public Libraries Section mid term meeting held in Malmo Sweden and Taarnby Denmark left with wonderful memories and many things on their 'to do' list.

Our hosts ensured that we visited a range of outstanding libraries which served many different communities. Each was unique but united in its determination to meet local needs. Our thanks to everyone who made us so welcome.

The Section held a couple of very successful meetings where we progressed many issues. The Minutes are now available. We also held a 'World Cafe' based around the 5 IFLA Trends. This created much interest and the results will help to inform the Section's Strategic Plan.

We were also fortunate to hear from a number of our colleagues who spoke about what's happening in their country. These presentations are gradually being added to the Meeting site.
