"Libraries and Media Literacy" is an international symposium held by the Organizing Committee for the Support of Libraries (Επιτροπή Ενίσχυσης Βιβλιοθηκών) on Saturday, 1 December 2018 from 10:00-14:30. The event takes place at the Athens Concert Hall, venue of IFLA WLIC 2019.
At the symposium, speakers from Germany, USA, Spain, Finland and Greece have been invited to present and speak on topics concerning media education and the role of libraries in addressing misinformation.
IFLA will be represented by Tonia Arahova, IFLA Governing Board Member and GB liaison to UNESCO's Media and Information Literacy (MIL).
