The 85th IFLA World Library and Information Congress (WLIC) will take place between the 24th and 30th of August at the Megaron Athens International Conference Centre (MAICC), Athens, Greece.  The full conference programme is available here.  The official IFLA 2019 mobile app is also now available to download on any iOS device. 

The IFLA Section on Library and Research Services for Parliaments (IFLAPARL) will have its own open session entitled: Informing dialogue, enabling change (Session 105), with presentations from Brazil, Canada, Chile, Ghana and Sweden, followed by table discussions on the questions raised.  This session will take place on Monday 26th August, between 09:30 and 11:30 in Room MC 3 in the Conference Centre.

As in previous years, we will be co-sponsoring the popular Knowledge Café with colleagues from the Knowledge Management & Continuing Professional Development and Workplace Learning Sections.  The Knowledge Café (Session 196) will be held on Tuesday 27th August, between 14:45 and 15:45 in the Banqueting Hall in the Conference Centre.

We will also be having two Standing Committee meetings during the WLIC to which everyone is invited – the agenda for both meetings can be found here.

Standing Committee Meeting I will be on Saturday 24th August, between 15:45 and 17:45.  Please note that this meeting will be held offsite at the Athens College – Hellenic Athens Educational Foundation (HAEF).  Shuttle buses will run between the Conference Centre (MAICC) and Athens College (HAEF) – details can be found here.

Standing Committee Meeting II will be on Monday 26th August, between 13:30 and 16:00 in Business Meeting Room 2 in the Conference Centre.
