On 1 November, IFLA offered a 30-minute webinar to discuss about the current discussions around libraries at the World Intellectual Property Organisation. WIPO’s Standing Committee on Copyright and Related rights (SCCR) is currently discussing exceptions and limitations to copyright for libraries and archives. By including libraries in the agenda, the Committee has acknowledged the value that cultural heritage institutions bring to society. Copyright systems worldwide should reflect this, finding a balance that protects creators while guaranteeing access to information.

The webinar was offered in English and Spanish.
