The IFLA President’s Meeting represents a high point of the IFLA year, alongside the World Library and Information Congress (WLIC).

Convened and coordinated by the IFLA President, it provides an opportunity for leaders in the library field to share experiences, insights and views with speakers from a range of different areas of expertise.

Through these conversations, IFLA helps to build reflection and understanding about the future of libraries and the communities they serve.

The President’s Meeting ordinarily takes place annually, in changing locations in order to give as many members of the field as possible the chance to attend.

IFLA share the results of the Meeting, either in written form or through giving access to recordings of sessions afterwards. This enables the wider library field to benefit from the discussions held.
